This whole forcing yourself to put aside all other thoughts and attempt to focus solely on Anouk. It’s not that I don’t miss her, and it’s not that I’m not sad. I just don’t think she would have wanted us to dwell on her so much. Why would anyone want to be remembered for the bad or depressing things that happened to them? I certainly wouldn’t.
